The Center for Italian Studies is proud to announce the release of Voci sul Purgatorio di Dante. Una nuova lettura della seconda cantica, published by Carocci Editore and co-sponsored by the Devers Family Program in Dante Studies.
Following on from the complete critical reading of the Inferno that took place between March 2019 and March 2021, the new publication is the product of a series of critical discussions, co-organized by Professor Zygmunt G. Barański (University of Notre Dame) and Professor Maria Antonietta Terzoli (University of Basel). The events took place at the University of Basel in a series of five meetings, each of two and a half days, that were scheduled for the Spring and Autumn between September 2022 and September 2023.
The volume includes contributions from multiple esteemed colleagues in the field of Dante Studies, including Gabriella Albanese (Università di Pisa), Laura Banella (University of Notre Dame), Theodore J. Cachey Jr. (University of Notre Dame), Elena Lombardi (University of Oxford), Lino Pertile (Harvard University), and Muriel Maria Stella Barbero (Universität Basel), among many others.
